As a Host at Reds you’re the face of Reds more than most, as often the first and last person spreading the gospel of true barbecue to our believers. Your aim is to offer that memorable welcome and farewell, making sure our guests leave happy and singing our praises.
As the initial contact for the restaurant, you set the vibe for our guest’s experience, explaining the ways of Reds, introducing and guiding them through their true barbecue experience, giving them your recommendations and advice on how best to enjoy our menu. Whether its recommending an amazing new dish to try or one of our craft beers that might go great with it, we need you to set them on the path to salvation and the knowledge of true barbecue
Whether you’re greeting and seating guests, handling booking enquiries, welcoming new or returning guests at the door, running a waitlist, keeping in communication with guests coming and going, assisting in the set up of the restaurant and service areas, ensuring tables are cleared and reset quickly, your role is key to the smooth running and maximising of service and covers in the restaurant each day. You will also likely be asking guests for feedback, actively finding out how their experience has been, resolving issues and feeding back to the manager. So you’ll need to be calm and confident, able to work well under pressure, and with a passion to give great service every time.
